I think the number of words that I have said today far exceed the total number that I have said in the entire week. O.o; 5TORM! I'm sorry if you guys felt any discomfort experiencing my verbal diarrhoea, LOL. :P To alleviate this problem, when bored please call me, so I can entertain you and myself at the same time. :D
Have to go to work tomorrow! When people ask what I'm doing, I feel so puny and useless when I tell them, but I like it. Even though every Friday night I'm out and I go, "Argh, damnit, I wish I didn't have to work on Saturday so I can sleep in." And even though I go in every morning bleary-eyed and half-awake, it's always with a stress-fr and willing heart. Looking at those children, who couldn't? Their innocent faces just make me smile. :)
Oh, and I love this layout so much I made a theme for my Sony Ericsson W800i phone, so I can stare at it all day. Oh my, I'm such a narcissist. >.<;
Here are a few screenshots:

There was something left unsaid.

ZOMG I REMODELED. :D
This layout took me an entire day. The coding was easy, no hitches there, but I spent a long time staring at Photoshop before I finally got what I wanted. There isn't anything difficult to make actually. I spent most of the time deciding where I should lay the page elements, and the title design was the one that bugged me the most. It took me heck a lot of moving and trying a billion different fonts before I got this.
In fact, the title is a combination of a brush and a font, as well as some hand drawn bits. The fonts I used are Avant Garde Thin and Leaf. I think you can find both of them at dafont.com. I particularly like Leaf—it has a very whimsical feel to it. It's not very apparent in my title image, but I used the "{" curly bracket and the letter "i" as part of the image. ^^
Overall I must say I rather like this layout. Yes, it's a "dark" layout again, what with grey being the background colour, but it has green in it! In fact it gives me a sort of "relaxed" feeling. :D Hope you guys like it as well.

Oh. My. God.
Just dredged up all the old blog posts I could from archive.org and have been manually posting them. *dies* I can't get a complete archive though; everything's in bits and pieces, from way before greyprism.org, even. YES, I FOUND DEMENTIA'S POSTS!! *joy and gladness* Well, some of them anyway. You'll notice that there are several missing months in the archive list.
Yeah. So if you're a busy-body like me and would like to find out how I "grew" in the past 5 years, you can browse a not-very-comprehensive collection of blog posts. :O

OMG. I'm going to see double soon. X.x
Just loaded my entire music collection into foobar2000 with the intention of finally creating a comprehensive playlist. I knew it would be a lot of work so I kept putting it off, but on a whim, I did it today, and I tell you, the amount of id3 tags that needed cleaning up/changing was DEATH. My eyes are so tired now.
BUT! At the end of it all, I have a (reasonably) clean and neat playlist. It has 3301 files and has a total run time of 1 week, 2 days, 2 hours, 47 minutes and 48 seconds. :O But actually about 300 are some X-Japan songs that I'm not sure I want to keep... I'll only be keeping a few that I like after I actually finish listening to them all. O.o; So expect the playlist to shorten soon.
Some RP-related news: I've hit 100 in character posts with Flann! YAAAAY! *hops around and dances happily* Happyhappyhappy. :D
Oh yeah. I went to the library today and look what I saw:

If you're too lazy to click and enlarge, a note attached to the computer says,
O.o; LIKE OMG DUH! I think it's because some people can't read. I wonder what they're doing in a library.

Just finished reading all 15 volumes of the Mars manga. O.O Wow. It's really really good. I've never actually finished reading a manga before because I didn't have the stamina, but... I finished this one.
What I like about Mars (besides the fact that Rei is hot and super cool?) is that the characters are so well developed. They're not shallow, brainless idiots, but have all the frustrating imperfections that all of us do. I mean, most people's first impression of Rei would be that he's just a good-looking playboy, but there's so much, so much more to him. On the other hand, I find Kira not as interesting a character as he is. And of course, I enjoyed the manga because the sweet love story behind it all, with the Sweet Girl Turns Bad Boy Around And Teaches Him About True Love kinda thing. :D
The whole time I was reading it, I was thinking, "This manga would make a very good anime." And when I finished, it HIT me (like a truck): they made a live action series out of it some time ago, didn't they? I remember a couple of my friends going crazy over some Taiwanese drama called Mars... I totally dismissed it then, because it starred that F4 guy and I was all PSHHHHH, it must suck and didn't give it a second thought. No WONDER I thought the Mars logo looked damn familiar. ^^;
I think I'll take the first few episodes of Mars for a trial run now, just to see if I like it enough. I often appreciate things more in their original incarnations (*cough* Battle Royale... I so HATED the movies... the book was SO much better), so I'm not sure if I'll like the live action adaptation. Oddly enough, I've begun watching Hana Zakari no Kimitachi e (that Taiwanese drama Ella's starring in, Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu) and I'm quite addicted to it. >.<; I haven't started reading the manga, though I have a feeling I'll like it as well. Haha. I'm not reading it yet because I don't want spoilers for the show. Why? Because it hasn't. Finished. Airing. ARGH. I can't stand waiting for new eps to come out. T_T

I walked home from the MRT station today. Took me a little more than 20 minutes, walking and running part of the way. It was after midnight when I reached the bus interchange, and so I decided not to take a bus. As it turned out, there were still buses that I could have caught, but I wanted to walk home anyway, for the heck of it.
I've been walking home quite often of late. The last time was last Saturday when I took the wrong bus home and ended up two streets away from my house. So I walked home.
The running was the best part though. I know I probably looked silly and just a little bit crazy, but there's hardly anyone around at midnight anyway. So I ran. It's the kind of running where you're in an all out sprint but don't feel the need to stop. It's like you have all this energy and your feet are calling out, "Faster! Bigger strides!" and just eats up the distance like its nothing at all. And it was exhilarating. I passed by a block of flats with a vending machine at the void deck, so I stopped and got a can of 100 plus, drank it down in 1 minute flat, and ran one last street home. I had to stop at the traffic light though--didn't want to get run down. :P
But it was fun.
Oh yeah, got a haircut today. :D I like it.
And. Met up with Da En, Wei Jie, Zhao Wei and Steffi for an extremely spontaneous meeting. O.o We caught Gridiron Gang (which I insist on having it read phonetically grid-ee-ron gang XD) at Cineleisure, then went to play pool. I'm not much of a pool fan, but I did participate in a 2v2 game that was very s-l-o-w going. Haha. Left a bit after 11pm though--a little late than I safely should--which explains my... odd mode of transport home.

Haha. I was bored during Jap class today so I drew this:
It's actually a sketch of this:
It's one of those things you get when you play gachapon. You know, put a dollar in (this one cost $3 though), turn the mechanism, and out pops a plastic ball with a toy inside. Both Wen Lin and I got the same toy when we played it, so that's how I have a picture of the real thing. :D It's a chop by the way. Or stamp, if you will. Uncap it and start leaving cat prints everywhere. XD
Anyway, I'm finding Jap class fun. It's the opportunity to act like a student again, to see other people, and to talk crap with my friends (or friend, because I haven't made any new ones yet O.o;). And doodling in class is always exciting.
I've learned all the Japanese kanji! I can read/write them reasonably well now, although occasionally I need to refer. >.<; But hey, I did it in two hours. I rock. :P

I've been listening to Snow Patrol's Run over and over and over. Even now, in fact. It's giving me inspiration for a new blog layout. >.< But I don't want to remodel just yet. I love this layout... I can stare at my header image for hours. O.o Okay, not hours, but for a long time, at least.
Mmrrhh. I need to go and sleep. I'm staying up late even if I have nothing to do. I don't know why. I hate going to sleep, and I hate waking up. It feels uncomfortable. I prefer being just... awake.
Anyway, have been reading Alastair Reynold's Revelation Space. FINALLY! I think I bought it two years ago and I haven't had the chance to read it. :X Oops. That's what I always do. I always buy books and put off reading them. Haha. But that doesn't mean that I won't read them. That's the good thing about buying books see, because you own them, you can read them any time you want.
But I digress. Revelation Space is GOOD. As with all other Reynold's work that I've read so far. Well, I didn't exactly like Century Rain, but I thought his writing was engaging enough anyway.
Erm. Nothing much happens to me. Went to Orchard today and met Da En. LOL. I don't usually meet people when I'm in public places. Maybe it's because I don't know many people. Argh. Let's not go there, shall we? Because it's a circular argument which all boils down to I'm too lazy, blah blah blah, should try harder, blah blah blah, need to get a life, blah blah blah.

I have a new song obsession:
Nice band. Have been listening to two of their albums, Eyes Open and Final Straw. Am addicted to Run though. I know it's a very popular song, the one that propelled them to stardom, I think, but it deserves it. The lyrics are awesome, and the melody itself is just divine.

Today for the first time, I know why people eat when they are sad. Because that's what I did. I wasn't even hungry. I opened a can of coke and drank it. Then I cooked a pack of instant noodles and ate that. Now I'm finishing up said can of coke and I'm bloated and so full it hurts, but I still keep on drinking because I feel so shitty already this ugly feeling doesn't matter.

AHHH. This is absolutely beautiful. A medley of four SPITZ songs, Robinson, Cherry, Sora mo toberuhazu, and the song that made me fall in love with them, Kaede. I can watch this over and over:

Well, I'm effectively unemployed. I help out at a tuition centre on Saturday mornings, but that's it. And they don't need more help. SO. I'm thinking of getting a real full-time job. Argh. There goes my freedom. (But I want the money and the chance to tell people that I'm working when they ask the dreaded question, "So what are you doing now?" and I won't have to squirm and reply, "Oh um... nothing actually," to which they're all "OMGWTF you SLACKER!!!!111oneone")
Since school has started for the rest of the under 18 population, I've been feeling an acute sense of loss, because newsflash: I miss school. Quite badly. :( I absolutely cannot stand the fact that I'm not a student anymore, and that my ezlink card doesn't give a double-beep when I tap it on the reader. :O I'm quite distraught about that. I want my double-beep back!!! *steals a senior-citizen card* I mean, no wait... you didn't see me do that. >.<; Oh, and as much as I hate to admit it, I miss wearing my Hwa Chong uniform. ARGH. It is the most horribly uncomfortable uniform EVER, but I still miss wearing it. T_T
So today is Saturday. The days seem to have lost their meaning. Every day is the same. Well, besides RPing, I've been discovering new bands. My favourite song of the moment is Less Than Jake's The Rest of My Life. <3 Superb. If I become un-lazy, I'll upload it.
I have an urge to remodel AGAIN. I won't, of course. But I'm itching to do some graphic design. Grahhh.

I just rediscovered my first serious RP character, Todescengel's, ezBoard profile. Sigh the memories...
So it appears I joined WWS1 on 11 December 2001. ZOMG. That's long ago. I still have some of Tod's posts archived on my computer. Well technically it's on a CD because I burned all my old files to save space. I think I read them not too long ago, just a skim-through because I was looking for some GMF-related details, but heh, I can tell that I've grown up quite a bit since then. It's weird looking at my old writing, although there are still bits of me that I can see in them. I can remember how I felt when I wrote those words.
And look at that age! If I'd played Tod all the way till today, he'd be a ripe old EIGHT years old. That's... ancient. People usually play wolves that are three or four years old. Flann's three, for instance.
Sometimes I wish I didn't give up RPing him though. Now I'm sort of "starting all over again", in the reputation aspect, at least. I know this sounds very self-indulgent, but nobody in the RP community actually remembers me anymore. :( Then again, I wasn't really that close to anyone else in the first place. Now that I think about it, I can't really remember who I RPed with back in the day. Only the name "Blackthorn" comes to mind.

I realised it's 2007 and I haven't posted. So there you have it: my first post of the year. :DDD
I spent it doing absolutely nothing, by the way. I can't even remember. I must have been refreshing WWS as usual. Oh that's just sad. O.o;
Oh, I'm finally going to take basic Japanese classes! Yay! I'll be going together with Wen Lin, and classes start next Thursday. Ooo, I can't wait. I haven't actually taught myself to read yet, although I can recognise a few characters, so it won't be a waste of money. :P I say that because if I were to take Korean classes, I don't think I'll begin with the beginner's class, because I can read and write Korean perfectly fine. I just don't get the grammar and vocabulary. But OMG, if I'm fluent in Japanese one day... *dreams*
On a random RP note: My inspiration for Flann is coming back. YAAAAY. Well, it was gone awhile and I got afraid that I'd abandon him, but that doesn't seem the case. I have 52 posts with him now. :D That's... more than halfway to a hundred!
Yet another random note, though not RP related: I finally got over my phobia of phone calls. O.o; After absolutely forcing myself these past few months to answer and make them, I think I'm fine with talking to people over the phone now. Okay, that's really weird, isn't it. >.<
