Meet Your Maker
Tell me why you've given up. Why you've thrown it all to the wind. I don't understand you. Sometimes you think about going on the right track, don't you? Yet it never materialises. All you do is just sit there, rotting your fucking life away. That's being useless. You're useless, not because you actually are, but because you're not doing anything to pull yourself out of the neat little hole you've dug. Crawl out once in a while, will you, to see the world in all it's garish glory, to live a little. What you're doing isn't living. It's hiding. Burying yourself under so much earth you can't breathe anymore. You're just breathing recycled air. Sooner or later you'll run out and die. Why didn't you save yourself while you could?

But it's too damn late now. Meet your maker.

Merf
Waahahahahaa. T_T Adora! I don't have your email. Me bad. Am too lazy to check contact list either.

Since I'm blogging, I might as well write about my day. Went to school early to work on the fac board. But ARGH. When You Jin and I were putting it up, we were told to take it DOWN because the Student Lounge wouldn't exist anymore, come next year. *fumes* All our work, down the drain! And we heard from mark that Jaq Yeo, our new teacher-in-charge, wants like, a monthly newsletter thing. Firstly, who will read it. Like drrr. Secondly, I'm not cool enough to make cool stuff. And lastly, there's nothing much to write about. So there.

Blah. So I went to school early for nothing. The campfire rehearsal started at about SIX PM. Like, OMG. Totally rotted and slacked in school doing nothing. Even went to 7-11 to buy mashed potatoes. O.o; The other fac dances were SO COOOOOL. ZOMG. T_T I was nervous onstage while doing the fac dance. But blaaaah. Our fac was like the smallest because many people couldn't make it. Meh. I bet I looked stupid dancing. Qian CANNOT dance. I'm supremely bad at dancing. Oh well. Qian has zero style. XD

Yes, that's enough of a post. School starts on Tuesday. How fucking depressing. Qian HATES school with a passion.

Oh look! My titles have now devolved into meaningless noises. XD

Missing
Faye: Dunno if you'll read this, but OMG THANKS FOR THE LINK. Haha. I used to RP on the old WWS too, waaaay back in 2002. Oh my, that is so long ago. *sigh* I've just joined with my wuffie Clavius! Look out for him!

It's only a day and I'm missing the carolling already. Maybe it's just me, but I found it awfully fun. And we got to know our seniors in the alumni better too. Qian likes making friends. Although she's not too good at it.

Wee! Tomorrow am going to watch Narnia with the choir peeps. Have to leave at 7.45am though, which is freaking early. MARKLJGWFJSDGH. Haha. Xmas prezzie exchange with 5TORM at Meow's house too! Delightful. I wonder what I'll get. XP I've alraedy got the present to exchange for, and I like it. It isn't much, but hope the person who gets it likes it and uses it. Haha. SEE? I GOT SOMETHING USEFUL. Mwah.

Short post. Went out with Larri and Cheryl and Debbie today. SNAF! We got our aeroplane pendants. I'll have to wear it sometime. ^^

Merry Xmas!
It's Christmas!
Merry, merry Christmas!
A very, very jolly time,
A holly time of year! (of the year!)
Now the carollers are singing...
... can you hear the sleigh bells ringing?
Yes the happiest, happiest season is here!

Oops. Too much carolling. TODAY WAS FUN. Rushed THREE performances. 6.30pm at Conrad, 7.30pm at Fullerton and 8.45 at Fullerton! PHWOAR. Standing almost stock still for 45 min a go is NOT FUN (that was the only bit that wasn't, LOL). You get aching shoulders and feet (which are in heels, the poor things), as well as stiff everywhere-else! Argh! Haha.

Tomorrow will be performing at 11.30am Fullerton, and 6.30pm Conrad. Last performance!

Some Activities
I need to blog, yes. So what have I been up to the past few days? Carolling! Actually to be more accurate, I only carolled for the first time yesterday. Haha.

Went out with 5TORM on Tuesday! Mwahaha. Sat at Pastamania for most of the time. Then walked around to get Kathy's photos *cough*JOSIAH*cough* developed. Hmm. No I won't let it rest. Saw a lot of very nice photos by some French guy (I think, since it was put up by the French embassy) along Orchard road. Eventually went to haunt Kinokuniya. Haha. It's so fun to go there with your friends and just comment on books.

I realise I'm having a harder and harder time thinking of titles of my posts. So I apologise for the recent decline in post-title quality. LOL.

OHYEAH. Gong Yue lent me her 12 Kingdoms DVD! It's from China so it's *cough*pirated*cough* and it's in CHINESE. *cries* Oh woe is meeeeeeee. WHY. I want to hear all the beautiful Japanese and noooo, it has to be in CHINESE. Not that the dubbing is TOO horrible, but all the names get confusing in Chinese after awhile. O.o;

Short post. Have to carol again today! 7.30pm at The Fullerton hotel lobby. Do drop by to see me! XP

Reading
Parents bought the Gattaca DVD for me! AHHHH. Soooo happy. And I went to Kinokuniya and bought two books, Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld and Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. They were books I saw off the shelf and intrigued me, so I bought them. I had the 20% discount coupon anyway. I haven't read them yet, so I don't know how they are, but from reviews at Amazon.com, they seem like quite good reads. Heh.

Oh, I've just finished The Time Traveller's Wife and toward the end, I was crying nonstop, sobs, snot and all. I don't really have much to say about the book... it's original, powerful and very well-written. My version was published by Harvest Books and it's HORRIBLY heavy because of the kind of paper they use, so it was kind of troublesome to lug it around with me to school and back. But travelling is where I do most of my reading, so it was worth it. Heh.

I couldn't sit through The Rule of Four and I returned it before I was done. Although I try to finish all books I start, I make an exception for library books because they are, after all, free. Heh.

Drrr. I have nothing much to write. Nothing goes on in my boring life. Erm, besides a lot of choir, that is. Will be performing Chirstmas carols at The Fullerton and Conrad Hotel next week. Heh.

HPGOF
Just came back from watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. YES, I'm slow. So what. And do you know, it's barely been showing for a month and the only place screeing it in Orchard was Lido! And at only one time slot too -- 5.30pm. Orchard Cineleisure wasn't even screening it. Funny, that.

Anyway, much as I hate to admit it, I actually ENJOYED the movie. Oh no! Has the sky started to fall (someone call Chicken Little, please)? I thought the effects were brilliant and the suspense good enough... at one point during the third task, I actually got a shock when the hedge suddenly started to grow and grab at everything. But I absolutely HATED Rita Skeeter. I mean, she wasn't annoying enough, and I pictured her as this bookish person, not some paedophile.

AND OMG THEY DIDN'T SHOW THE QUIDDITCH MATCH AND I AM SO MAD. Like, WTF, d00d. How could you have a Harry Potter movie WITHOUT THE FREAKING QUIDDITCH MATCH? And Krum wasn't even CUTE. It was Cedric that stole the show. *swoon* Too bad he had to die thought. T_T

Oh, I utterly disliked the Hermione/Harry parts. Hmm. I dunno. Romance HAD to come in the show, did it? I felt it ruined the focus of the movie. Of course, it has something to do with *cough* Draco/Hermione being my One-True-Pairing *cough*. ... I know, I know, it's not possible in canon, but a fangirl can dream, hmm? Haha.

Carol Prep
Phew. Haven't posted for quite a bit. Have been choir-ing the past few days in preparation for the carolling we're going to do. But frankly, we're only spending so much time on it because we're so CRAPPY at it. Only today did we get the permission to even carol at all, and not even on our own, but with our seniors. =/ Ah well. We have intro problems and pitching problems and pulse/rhythm problems and all sorts of funny problems. Haha. We just don't sound good. Although I think our fast songs like Jingle Bell Rock are quite okay. However I'm truly quite SICK of all the carolling. Not the songs, because they're quite nice, but I'm tired of singing it. There's a difference. I mean, we sang through our whole repertoire like, FOUR times today. And today was the most tiring day for me out of the last three days we've been practicing. But I must say, we have improved a lot compared to say, last week. Although some of it I think, should be attributed to the SMALL GROUP we're practicing in nowadays, seeing that most people are overseas or at church camp or whatnot. Today there were 14 people at practice today, but we started with like, 9, two for each section (plus conductor!). Quite funny.

Oo, long, rambly paragraph. O.o

Finished Second Glance! As usual Jodi Picoult rocks -- I love her writing. But I enjoyed My Sister's Keeper more -- if only because I like Jamie (whatshisname? the brother), while none of the characters in Second Glance really gained my affection. Maybe Ethan. But then again, it's because like the name.

I'm reading The Rule of Four now, but it's a bit slow-going for me because I find it a bit boring. Hmm. Oh yeah, borrowed The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (sp?), the book everyone's been reading. I've just started it so I can't say much, but I kinda like the flowy style of writing.

Ooee. Am waiting for Meow to come online. Haha. Going to watch Harry Potter tomorrow, methinks. See? I knew someone'd eventually ask me to watch it. Haha. I haven't read Harry Potter in a loooong time.

Still Sleeping
Ooof! Am back from choir chalet. A gruelling three day two night stay in the suckiest chalet ever giving mosquitoes a good feast. And we all have many bones to pick with the chalet too... Haha. But it was fun while it lasted. Slept 16 hours when I got back. >.<

Choir today. Effectively, it's from 1.30pm to 9.30pm. Hip hip hooray. *sigh*

Ghost Stories
*sigh* Reading ghost stories before bed is NOT good...

Borrowed Second Glance by Jodi Picoult and The Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason on Friday when I went to collect my David Tao CD (mwah).

It's not that Second Glance is scary. It isn't. But it still gives me the creeps... somehow. O.o

Had choir performance yesterday as a guest for RV Choir's concert, Les Choristes. It was okay. ^^ Went for coffee after that. Fun.

Blah. It's December already. Not good... not good...

News
Ooo, if you look at today's newspaper, Home section, page 12, you will see a newspaper report on one of the patients I visited during my job attachment to Singapore Cancer Society. It's the report that's on the top left hand corner. It's quite cool, since it isn't everyday you see something familiar or even remotely related to you in the papers.

And since we're talking about today's news, which I don't do very often really because I don't READ it (haha), on the front of the Home section is a report about two girls falling from the Escape roller coaster ride. I guess something like this was bound to happen sooner or later, but something I was not very happy about was that the report did not mention anything about WHY it happened. Most of the article was dedicated to saying how the two girls were rushed to the hospital and transfered from here and there and whatnot. They also didn't mention what kind of injuries the two girls sustained, except that they were in critical condition. I would assume they had some broken bones or concussion or something, but I want to know what happened to the two girls, man. Maybe the details weren't released to the press, I don't know, but if you're going to write an article on the frontpage, please have enough material first!
