Went to Yingwan’s house today to swim and study. Did both in equal amounts. Haha. I am SO SORE from swimming. Haven’t swam for 4-5 years. I shall swim more often and keep myself in shape, haha. *flabflab*
I know my words have been sparse these days. Dunno. I’m alive, okay? Alive and kicking. Yeah.

Haven’t blogged for some time. Nothing much going on with me these days though. Still the slacker, the loser.
Went to Sentosa today. Dunno who’s stupid idea it was. Anyway because Yingwan, Weiqi and I aren’t the beach type of people, we basically rotted in the sun. Then we went to Weiqia’s aunt’s house which was SO CUTE AND NICE. Her Aunt is so nice, letting Weiqi have her house keys and her friends (me, of course) over. O.O Sat around in the air-con flat and pigged out, watched VCDs, etc.
Yeah. That’s how today went. This post has been brought to you by the following sponsors: boredom.

Choir was cool. Met Janice at Boon Lay MRT! Haha. It was early. 0845. Needed only to be at NYGH at 1000. So we went to J.East MRT and sat around and took the 0920 bus 66 to NYGH. Reached before 1000.
I shan’t bore you with minute details. Actually was supposed to go to school first, but Si Yun or whoever asked me to go to NYGH straight. So I did. And helped them out with choreo. Obvioulsy failing miserably, because I can’t dance/choreo a dance. Was hopeless. So sorry to those I “helped”. Haha.
Choir was fine, actually, when it really started. Okay, so SNChoir’s singing wasn’t THAT good. But at least we have most of our actions and dances and stuff like that done. NYChoir was good. At least, I like thier songs. They stick in my head. I went about a whole day singing Fossils... and Lonely Goatherd. Argh.
Today I am happy. Because I studied! I finished memorising half of 4B Chapter 1. Haha. Up to the Switzerland education system part. Did chem tuition homework and half of the speed or reaction paper 2 questions Mrs Hoo aked us to do. Then started on A Maths... logarithms. Ahaha. Log. I hate it. I ordered my chapters according to the ones I have difficulty with. ><
You didn’t need to know that. But I needed an ego boost, so there.
I’m so sleeeeepy. I want foooood. Parents went out. Dunno what time they’ll be back with dinner. Ugh. Have two more hours of maths to go! Then I can slaaaaaaack. Until tomorrow.
There’s always a tomorrow.
Can’t tomorrow be the end?
Oh, and happy birthday, Pam. ^^ Belatedly or not. Too bad I didn’t blog yesterday!

My stupid tuition teacher’s going to move his next Wednesday’s lesson to this Sunday. Oh well.
Anyway, going out later to Jurong Regional Library (sounds good, doesn’t it? haha) to study with Yingwan. And a bit on the blasted lit project. *whispers* It manifests itself in many ways. *nodnod*
Mother, like her usual self, bought some second hand VCDs yesterday, and it got into my mind to watch one. I thought it was trashy, but who gives a damn. Haha. There was Takashi Sorimachi in it and it was called Cheap Love. T'wasn’t VERY bad. But it was trashy enough. Though you have to admit it’s entertaining.
Tried reading Dune. Got through about 2 and a half chapters, I think. It’s getting a bit draggy. I dunno. I sort of gave up, though I’m going to come back to it. I can’t call myself a sci-fi fan and NOT read it. Instead, I’ve been devouring 2002: ASO. A Space Odyssey. I didn’t know how to spell “odyssey” until two days ago. I’m pathetic.
OhOH. And according to my dad - whose accuracy I have not verified - there’s going to be a movie based on Issac Asimov’s “I, Robot” coming soon in a cinema near you! I have to read the book now. My dad says he has the series, but it’s in Grandma’s house. Haha. And I bet the silverfish ate it all up. I shall scout the library later, but... I’ve already borrowed my max. 4. How annoying. And you have to pay $21 for an extra FOUR BOOKS? How shit is that. I would just take my mum’s library card, but I can’t finish reading what I already have, so I shan’t be greedy.
Really, I shan’t.

Sunday. I had two tuitions. Bah. On the SAME DAY! How annoying. Monday was a sucky day. Had chem and physics lessons in the morning, then choir at NYGH in the afternoon. It was rather bad - choir, I mean. Let’s just say we were terribly unprepared.
Had a grueling 3 hours of physics and 3 hours of chemistry today. Needless to say, it was very taxing. Physics was annoying. Firstly because Mr Gan was going so terribly slowly. Secondly, most of the class didn’t even bother to pay attention. Thirdly, he didn’t manage to finish the damn chapter. I heard from Pam that they’re on Cathode Ray Oscilloscope ALREADY. And we’re still at sound waves. UGHHH.
Chem was just... chem. Boring. A lot of memorising, in my opinon. I prefer physics. I loooove the chapter we were doing: waves. I plan to take it in JC... fluid dynamics sounds like an interesting topic. But I think it’s kind of boring, after a while. Right now it sounds good, though.
Choir was okay. NYGH came over to our school. We sec 4s had to go late because of lessons. Anyhoo, I think we were good for Sister Act, but as Miss Lim said, we could polish it up. And the sops were good for Ave Maria! Although we need to work on blending, speed and suchlike.
Bah.

Finished Flowers for Algernon last night. It was one of the saddest books I’ve read. Everyone should read it... it’s... I don’t know. It’s about a retarded man who has this yearning to be smart, because as a child, his mother has impressed in him that he had to be smart. But his IQ was well below the average man’s, I think 67. And one day he had an operation performed on him to make him smart, and he did. He became a genius and all that, but eventually, *SPOILER ALERT* he regressed and returned to his original state. It’s terribly sad.
Anyway, physics practical this morning. Blah. The second experiment, the circuit one, was okay, but I had to doctor my readings a bit. ^^ The other one, on centre-of-gravity/moments was shitty.
Stoned in the library reading Minority Report (and other stories!) by Philip K. Dick (who I think is wonderful). Got lunch, then made my solitary way to Chong Pang CC in Yishun. Note that I was alone the whole damn time, something I absolutely loathe and hate because I am so terribly insecure. But by circumstance I’ve been forced in such situations numerous times. I might hate it, but I am unable to do anything about it, so I put up with it, bite my lip, and somehow trudge on and survive.
Actually I could have walked to the damn CC, but smart me decided to take a bus instead. The stupid bus took so long to arrive, and took one whole round to reach the damn CC, I thought I was late. I was, actually, but the thing started late anyway. Met Pam at the workshop! Was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t think would know anyone there. But she was a prefect. Anyway, the workshop was on community service and stuff like that. I thought it was okay before I went, but it sucked. I didn’t learn anything. Anyway they had some problem with the screen, and took 2 hours to fix the problem. We were bored out of our minds. They started and it was fine, then we had to break into groups to discuss... stuff. It was unnecessary. I didn’t like it at all. Then we had more talks, blah blah blah.
Then it was certificate-giving time. They HAD to read all the damn names, didn’t they? SO many people’s names. And the guy couldn’t read my stupid name. Haha. He said Teo... *pause* Q.Q. instead. It was terribly embarrasing. >< But yeah, got the certificate in the end. Hehe.
Went to Jurong Regional Library after that. OHMYGOD, I was terribly excited. Been looking forward to it ALLLL week. AAH! Anyway, the library is BIG. VERY big. And TERRIBLY spacious. I coudln’t find the fiction section at first, though. Went up and down (though I didn’t step in the teen... section) before I overheard some guy asking the librarians where it was. It was on the ground floor, apparently. Anyway, on the ground floor, they have this little exhibition about Jurong in the past. It was interesting. And they showcased the results of some photography competition NTU organised. The photos were fabulous. The topic was Jurong, I think. Or life in Jurong. Or something like that.
Anyway! Borrowed:
- 2001: (insert rest of title here) by Arthur C. Clarke
- Dune by Frank Herbert (is that how you spell his name?)
- The Terminal Experiment by Robert J. Sawyer (whom I decided I liked too)
- Mars by Ben Bova (whose Jupiter I adored)
Yay, all science fiction. I had half a mind to borrow some mindless romance, but I decided SF was more worth my time. I could the next time I went back though.
My last parting message for the day would be: If it’s convenient, go to Jurong Regional Library! It’s the best place to be.

I’ve just finished the last book of the Old Kingdom trilogy by Garth Nix, Abhorsen... it’s so sad. The Disreputable Dog (Kibeth! Who would’ve known!) is my hero.

The day wasn’t so bad after all, but it wasn’t good either. Reached school at 0845 for Maths Olympiad. Had it in the Sec 1 Charity classroom. Mrs Koh was invigilating! Hehe. Anyway the paper was hard and all that shit. I’d post up a few questions, but I don’t know about copyright laws and it’s upstairs anyway, and I’m too lazy to bring it down.
Had lunch, then went to the library because Kat had to take her Chem text from class so was going to meet her there. Borrowed Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes and Minority Report by Philip Something-or-other. Flowers of Algernon I have read somebit long before. It’s good. It’s going to be real sad. I can feel it.
Have decided to buy Darwin’s Radio tomorrow after school. Going to go to MPH at CITYLINK because I saw it there. WEE! Excited.
Anyway, after borrowing the books, chem prac. It was okay, I guess. I personally felt that it was easier than class work, although I just hope to pass. I’m a disaster at chem prac! Haha.
After chem prac had LIT. Everyone was so LKSDJFLSDJf and didn’t want to do lit. Oh well. My hand cramped while writing. >< Hate that. The paper was so thick, but we only had to do two questions. They printed questions for books we didn’t do... what’s the point? Waste of paper.
Anyway dad came to pick me up today and we went to Thomsan Plaza for dinner. Went to Popular and got some Longman guidebooks. Wee! I like Longman.
Okay, that’s my day. How boring.

Went for Ms Nair’s wedding today! It went better than I expected. The day, at least.
Anyway, was going to leave at 0830 to meet Kat, Dawn and Yingwan at Dhoby Gaut, but parents said they were going to town, so had a ride! Left at 0900 instead.
Found out that Little India was just 2 min from Dhoby Gaut. Great! That meant we had time, because the wedding ceremony we were going to started at 1030. So on reaching Little India, we looked and the map, saw our destination, and got out. But the roads were confusing and we had no idea which side of the bus to take, although we knew the bus numbers. So we went to ask the Station Master, who gave us confusing directions. Decided we couldn’t go wrong, so we plunged ahead and took a bus, figuring we could always get out and take another bus if we were wrong. We were right! But we missed a stop. So we had to walk back. It wasn’t a long walk though it was a bit hot. The bus stop was just a mere pole in the street with the numbers of the buses stuck to it. Almost couldn’t see it, haha.
So we reached the wedding place, held at Sri Something-or-other. Went upstairs to where they were holding the ceremony and WHOA! It was packed! Spotted our classmates and hurriedly went over to sit.
To be frank, it was excruciating. Especially for me, because of all the darn smoke and incense and my poor EYE which is swollen and terribly sensitive and painful. I was so grateful to get away. But I have to admit, it was interesting.
Anyway, the food was the high point! The Indian food was GOOOOD! Especially the curry. Always the curry.
After that we went to Orchard and watched THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW. Though reviews for it weren’t great, I personally thought it ROCKED. It was super. I’m getting the DVD when it comes out.
Next went to Kinokuniya (as usual) to buy my poor poor poor pencil. I’m very very attached to my stationery. Did I tell you? I lost my pencil. I was so so so sad and distraught. =( *tear* It was black and red. It was a Zebra DRAFIX. The beauty is on the bottom:

*cry* Anyway, I couldn’t find it. But I bought two other pencils instead. One Tombow Some-runner-or-other, and a Pentel. I love mechanical pencils. I have weird obsessions. Anyway, grabbed Greg Bear’s “Darwin’s Children” too.
And then I came home. I’m so happy! But BUT BUT tomorrow will be such a fucking SHIT day. I hate it. It merits a swear word.

Well, haha, last night sucked. No doubt about it.
Anyway, was planning to get up at 0530 so I had time to get on the 'puter before going to school. But I didn’t and my dad had to wake me up at 0700 instead. So rushed and rushed and finally left the house at 0720.
Reached school at about 0845. But couldn’t find the damn stupid place because I am misinformed (underinformed or just simply NOT informed). Finally after much walking and calling with Andrea, found out that it was in the New AVA.
Chem (that’s what I went for) was supposed to start at 0900, but Grace (a class, not a person) was late... *grumble* and we started half an hour later instead. Blah blah blah. Got to leave at slightly over 1030.
Originally wanted to watch “The Day After Tomorrow”, but blasted tuition had to come interfere, so didn’t in the end. DAMN it.
Ugh. Lit mock on Thursday, along with Chem prac and Maths olympiad. How shit is that. And have to go to Ms Nair’s wedding tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see them together and all that, but you know me. I hate going out. Especially to places which I’m not familiar with.
I hope the food is good.
The sun was scorching today. Had to walk under it so many times.
And my left eye hurts. I think it’s swolled or something, but you can’t tell by looking at it yet. It hurts every time I blink... oh, the pain... oh, the torture.
